What's New?

Last Friday, Claire told us about a lovely art project staged in woodland. She's approached the vicar of St Mary's Church, who thinks it a wonderful idea if Hitchin Stitchin' were to do a similar thing during next year's Hitchin Festival. The idea would be to take the theme of woodland to yarn bomb the  churchyard's trees.

Looking at Alicia's cabled jumper has given me some ideas of the sort of thing I might try.

Preparations for Festiwool are moving along apace, with over 30 exhibitors now confirmed. There was some discussion last week that we might try the yarn bombing idea in the grounds of the college as part of the event.

Hitchin Stitchin' members who are exhibiting at Festiwool might like to get together to exchange ideas about displaying goods and the layout of the stalls.

Weekly meetings are proving popular with good attendances. Check with Reception when you arrive as we were in The Angel Room last week.
