What a talented group

Members who crochet have been trying new techniques to create useful items.

April used jute instead of wool to make her first bag.

Grania made this very sturdy bag by  stitching over lengths of plastic washing line, to add to the structure.

Following the success of last year's 'Yarn Bombing' in St Mary's Churchyard, Hitchin, TheTriangle Community Garden has asked Festiwool  to do something similar for them.

The Art Installation will take place the final weekend in June, in the run-up to Hitchin Festival. Hitchin Stitchin' members and Wolly Chic will be contributing knitted and croched items, using the theme of plants and their friends as the inspiration.

Some members have already been busy with their needles and hooks. These lovely sunflowers were brought to the knitting group's meeting on Friday.
